Disneyworld part 2

Sorry it has taken a while to get back with you. Let me continue the Disneyworld trip story. We did two days in the Magic Kingdom, mine and Angie's favorite park. Can you tell by looking at the above picture that Angie and I had a blast. The castle at Disneyworld is so spectacular. We had breakfast on mainstreet, and then went to Tomorrow Land and rode Space Mountain and other rides. Space Mountain in Disneyworld is a lot like how I remember it in California the first time I ever rode it. I think that I was around 8 years old. We did the carousel o progress, where there is a great big beautiful tomorrow. We rode Buzz lightyear, it is a bit different than in California. It is a fun ride, but you can not disconnect the gun from the pod to shoot. We rode the people mover, which Disneyland used to have. It is a great relaxing ride.. We took pictures around the park. We did the comedy stage with Mike on Monsters Inc. We rode the autopia cars. We then made our way around to Fantasy Land, there we did Winnie the Pooh and Snow White and Peter Pan rides. We also did Small World, which is a lot shorter and smaller in Florida than in California. After Fantasy Land, we made our way over to the Haunted Mansion. I love that ride. Frontier Land is a lot of fun. We did Big Thunder Mountain, which is a bigger ride in Florida than in California. I have mixed feelings about it, because there are good and bad things to both Big Thunders at California and Florida. I did Splash Mountain on my own, 2 or 3 times. I did a no hands run twice coming down the steep drop. We also made our way over to Anventure land, where Pirates o the Caribean (however you spell it) I was able to see the new additions they put into the ride with Capn' Jack Sparrow. I love that ride. It is a bit different in Florida than in California. We also watched a minnie "show" of Pirates with Capn' Jack out in front of the ride. We couldn't do the Jungle Cruise, because it was closed. We did go and see the Tikki Room, which has yargo in Aladdin, it sucks in Florida. I hope they never change it in California. We also ate the pineapple whip, which is sooooooooo gooooooooood. We watched the parades they run and we also ate turkey legs. Our last day there at the Magic Kingdom, we met some Brazilians and made friends with them. They were from Sao Paulo, where I served my mission. I loved talking to them. I was shy to speak Portugues, because they speak it and it has been a while since I have spoken it with native Brazilians. Brazil people are great people, fun and loving. I miss Disneyworld. We did so much stuff. I wanna go back, but wanna go back with family and or friends. As a side note, I was a star at Hollywood Studios back lot. I was an actor in a movie and loved every minute of it. Angie and I were both stars there. She was in Indiana Jones and me in the Back Lot. So much to do and so much to see. I love going. I feel happy there at Disneyland or Disneyworld. I am grateful Angie took me as a surprise after graduation. I hope this hasen't made you bored. I will try and keep this more up to date. I will also try and put a slideshow of our Disneyworld Trip. OH, that is right. We alo went out to Kennedy Space Center and did tours of Nasa and all the stuff there. I loved it. I have always seen it on T.V. and never imagined that I would see all of it in real life. We hit Coco Beach, where I couldn't help stop thinking of I dream of jeanie. The sand on the beach was really soft. We got there a bit late, so we couldn't swim. We ate our subways on the beach and soaked our feet in the Atlantic Ocean. The water on that side of the United States is a ton warmer than on the California side. We had a blast and hope to go back one day. That is about all for now. I hope that I haven't left anything out. I will just close now and include a picture of our new Brazilian friends. PEACE OUT YA MUGS!!!

MOM AND DAD FAREWELL DAY!!!!

So today was the day that my parents gave their "farewell" talk. They got their call way back in February and are in the MTC for a week starting tomorrow. Lot of mixed feelings. Couples missions are so much more laidback than my mission was. Not saying easier by any means, just saying that you can go visit, call, they can have a television in their place etc. I know they will be great missionaries, and i am way excited for both of them and excited to get letters and learn about that area of the country. They are going to be at the Southern Virginia University mostly doing work there. They are both teachers and will knock the ball out of the park. I am way proud of both of them. I will miss them, but i will also know they are doing the Lord's work and helping people know happiness. Friends Adam and Misty and their two boys Aaron and A.J. and Adam's mom came, that meant a lot to us, probably more than they will ever know. Well that is about all i have for now. I am poooooped, looking for a job and trying to stay busy. I am proud of my parents. Later ya'll.

Disneyworld May 11- 21, 2008

What is going on? Been a while since I posted anything on the blog and figured I should update myself and my family. Let us go back in time to May 11, 2008. Tis a fine mothers day, Angie and I are at the Salt Lake City airport waiting to fly out to Orlando Florida. We boarded the southwest 737 aircraft and flew out and landed in St. Louis where we picked up some more passengers and went on to Orlando Florida, where the sky was blue and the humidity was cruisin'. We landed and got on to the tram that took us into where we could get our luggage. With the humidity, it was a good time pulling all the bags we took. We finally found where we were supposed to go, after walking around aimlessly in the airport. Orlando airport is huge. We then got our baggage checked and boarded onto the Walt Disney Magical Express.
That is Angie on the buss in the above picture. We drove for a while and we watched a Disney introduction dvd that they had on the bus, it told us all about the different parks and things to do while we were there. We arrived at our resort called the Walt Disney's All-Star Movies resort. We got our room and lugged our baggage to the room. When we got there, Angie sat with maps and plotted out our game plan on where and when we were going to the parks. We stayed in the 101 Dalmation section of the resort. Once we were settled, we went down and got a drink and kicked it by the pool for a while until it began to rain.
The next day, we woke up early and got all ready and headed out for our first day in the parks. Our first park was MGM or Disney's Hollywood Studios. I loved this park, it shows how movies are made and Angie was an extra in the Indiana Jones show.
Isn't she hot? I think so!!! We both loved the park. We did rides like Star Tours, and the Backlot tour, which shows props from famous movies and t.v. shows. like Home Improvement.
It is a way cool park. We also did rids like Rockin' roller coaster, which is an amazing totally cool ride. It is with music from Aerosmith and just a complete blast. We also went on Tower of Terror a few times. Angie loved Tower better than Rockin' so one time I road Rockin' and Angie went on Tower. We saw shows like Beauty and the Beast and Fantasmic, which are really good. Took pictures on the streets and in front of the Mickey hat. We road the Great Movie Ride, which takes you through time and the evolution of movies. We saw the Little Mermaid show and One Man's Dream, which shows you the history of Walt Disney and how things came about. We did voice overs, We tried to ride the new Toy Story ride but we missed it by one day. They opened it the day we left to come home. The second day we were at MGM, we did all the same stuff and I took my picture at Star Tours with my head put onto a Sith's body, it looks really good, i will have to post it later. We also saw the cool stunt show they do with the cars and things and show how they do chase scenes. The park was awesome both days we were there. It is probably my second favorite behind the Magic Kingdom.
We then went to Epcot and loved that park as well. The first day we didn't like it as much as the second day because we didn't do it all the first day and did the rest of it and found out that we loved that park. It is a park of total fun and learning at the same time. We did Soarin' and the Nemo ride and Test Track, which is a way cool ride. You ride in a car like a test dummy and they send you through all the tests they do to real cars. Total blast, they take you out and get you going over 60 miles per hour. We went through all of the countries and did some rides in Mexico and the Netherlands I think. They were really fun. We ate dinner in China and again in Mexico. Mexico dinner was really good. We sent postcards to friends and family. E-Postcards, and did mission space and spaceship earth and saw what mine and angies futures were going to be like. That is the ride in the golf ball. We also saw Ellen's show and ride and did the Living with the Earth Ride. There, you see new ways they are groing plants and how big the vegetables and fruit are getting. We absolutely loved that park. We also did innoventions, which is a place where you learn how they are making the earth a better place. I drove the garbage truck and angie and i sifted through our own trash and recycled. We also saw the home of tomorrow and i gotta say it rocks with all the new technology. That is me out front of Test Track, a favorite of ours.
Well that is all I have time to write about for now. I will continue again on the rest of the parks and our trip. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back. So much to write about. We took over 400 pictures and filled up 4 video tapes. We loved it. Catch ya back here soon!!! Peace out!!!!

My Last 2 Weeks

I sit here on a Sunday afternoon, working on homework. I look at the calendar, and notice that I have two weeks left of stuff and then I am done. Peter Murphy song, my last two weeks comes to mind. This week I will have three more finals done and out of the way. Last week I took one final and finished up on my business ethics class, which was a great class. This week I will turn in my video project, write a paper reflecting on my time at Orem High School, and then take a final on Friday for my Internet Marketing class. After Friday, that will make 4 out of 5 finals done. My last final is the most brutal one.....Managerial Accounting!!!! That one is on Tuesday of next week and will mark my last final of my college career up to this point.
Three weeks from today, Angie and I will be in the air flying to Walt Disneyworld in Orlando Florida. I am excited. It will just be nice to get away from everything and be able to relax and have a good time together.
Well, I have broken the trend in postings lately. Wish me luck these last two weeks. I will need all the help I can get.
Peace!!!!!

Rough Start to a week!!!

Sup ya'll
Sunday morning I woke up early. I couldn't sleep. I felt like heart burn or acid reflux. I went down stairs and a little later got real sick. Gotta love it, all i need right now. I am looking at the last week of school before finals. Perfect time to get sick. I was down all sunday, monday and feel better today, just really weak. My first final is thursday. This has been a way fun semester, filled with joy and happiness. I look graduation in the face and hope a pray that i have been doing well in my classes to really graduate. I don't ever remember a semester so stressful in my whole life. I need to get my strength back soon, i have come this far, i am not failing now. I feel a little like i did toward the end of my mission. The end there, satan was doing all he could to make me quit and give up and just go home. Now i feel like he is doing all he can to make me discouraged, afraid, and to just give up. I look forward to the "scott blackwell you just graduated college from the university of utah, what are you going to do next......I'M GOING TO DISNEYWORLD" I can not wait to leave and get away with Angie and just relax for 10 days. Have fun riding rides and enjoying the Florida sun. Graduation is MAY 2ND YA'LL, so please feel free to come and support yours truly. Angie has been a saint, taking care of me and putting up with me being sick. I hope to gain my full strength here soon. I did get my video project final 98% completed last saturday, that was sure nice feeling. I just didn't enjoy Sunday, even though the weather was way nice. I also need to get out on the golf course, that is another place i like to go to relax and let the stress out. Well, that is all for now. Can you believe it that i posted and it is not even the first of the month? I am trying to be better. Hope ya'll like brian regan and the tuneage i have posted so far.

MICKEY MOUSE!!!!

SUP YA'LL
WE HAVE SOME BREAKING NEWS!!!! YESTERDAY, Angie and Scott were able to book their Disneyworld Trip. This is a big celebration of BDS'S graduation from the University of Utah. We are going May 11 and staying until May 21. We are sooooooooo excited. With Craig and Stephanie's help, we were able to get some deals on booking things and with their help as well, they will be able to help us out knowing how to do things there. I have never been to Florida, nor have I ever been to Disneyworld. Angie has, but I haven't. Now the problem is not overlooking the month of April and finals and projects. I need to enjoy the time I have in classes and enjoy looking forward to Disneyworld. We posted a slideshow about our trip to Disneyland with Craig and Steph, we will soon post pictures of our trip to Disneyworld. I feel like i did when i was going on my mission. Everyone knows about disneyworld and what to expect, I don't and I feel like I need to do research to learn about it. I am a little worried about going on Tower of Terror, even though I did it multiple times in California. Gotta work hard in April to play hard in May. We will keep ya'll posted.

BIG NEWS!!!!

Hey everyone, I have some big news to share with everyone. Angie and I are expecting....
So I am pretty pooooooped. I am tired of the cold weather. Why won't it just be warmer and nice.
I took a very fun Accounting test today. I hope i did ok on the test. I studdied my tail off, but with me and exams... you can never tell how well I did.
I am glad it is April, hopefully that will mean longer days and warmer temperatures. I need to get out on the golf course and relax and have some fun. Angie got some help at work, so she hopes to not be working 60+ hour weeks here soon. Maybe I will be able to get my wife back, after all we are expecting.....
So Graduation is not to far away, have i mentioned that? Well, i am soooo school burned out it is insane. I have sooo much to get done and no time to do it in. I know, nobody believes me and Angie, but it is true. We are really busy trying to get things done.
Well that is about all for this entry,
OH BY THE WAY, ANGIE AND I ARE EXPECTING.....TO GO TO DISNEYWORLD IN MAY. GOTCHYA!!! WHAT WERE YA'LL THINKING? I RARELY SEE MY WIFE, LET ALONE SPEND TIME WITH HER, SHEEEEEEESH, HOPEFULLY THAT ALL CHANGES. Looking forward to going to disneyworld, getting a job, buying a home and moving forward with mine and Angie's lives.

PEACE OUT YA'LL

Spring Break!!!!!

Well, here I sit on a Monday morning. I guess it could still be Sunday nigt, depending on how you look at it. I haven't gone to sleep yet and it is 12:27 in the morning. I guess I can't sleep and have been wanting to get things updated on the page. I hope ya'll have been enjoying the additions. I love the fact that you can now look at the page and listen to Brian Regan. I love to joke and laugh and make others laugh, so I found it fitting to have some comedy on the page if you would like to listen to it.
I now am on spring break at school. Doesn't really mean a whole lot, other than I now have time to get projects done and other homework done. I guess I also need to answer some questions. I have been counting the days and months down, because it puts me ever so closer to graduation and being done with school and moving in life and possibly moving out of Utah again or maybe staying put and getting into a home. Finals aren't that far away. GRADUATION IS MAY 2, 2008 in case anyone was wondering.
I have been reflecting on life lately and have realized that it isn't easy.....now before anyone stars to say duh, let me explain. I have always felt the love and support of my parents growing up, I still do, it just isn't the thing I here everyday since being married. I guess I now try and hear it from my wife. My experiences from my mission have taught me that no matter how CRAPPY life can be, my heavenly father is there to help me whenever I need it....Let me tell ya, he is probably sick of hearing from me. I have really realized that I haven't been as happy as I normally am....I haven't been SCOTTIE. That is a new goal for me, find my self confidence again and return to being the real SCOTTIE that I know and love. So wish me luck for cryin' out loud.
Well, that seems to be another entry for me. I hope you enjoy the page, let me know what I can do to make it better. I am always trying to better myself, so that I can be the best that I can. Being happy is the only way to be in life, and I will get back there. Peace!!!!

YAHOOOOOO IT IS MARCH!!!!

I know I shouldn't say it, but I am sooooo excited that march is here. March means a few things: 1. Closer to graduation on May 2nd. 2. Daylight Savings Time and longer days. 3. Warmer temperatures. You gotta love the fact that the days start to get longer, camping, golf, outdoors oh oh oh, yeah!!! It has been a trying year for me. Lately we got a nice letter in the mail saying our rent was going up and that we had all kinds of new restrictions placed on us. STRESS!!! THEN, our yellow car breaks down again and sits in the shop. I was hoping to go to DisneyWorld, but looking more and more like that won't happen either. Everyone I see asks me about jobs, as if I don't know that it is important to look and get a job soon. I am just waiting for the time when people start asking why I am not a dad yet. GOOOOOOOOD TIMES! School is as stressful as ever but moving fast to the end of the semester and the end of an era for BDS. I am excited and scared all at the same time. Who knows if we will move out of state again or stay here and start looking for a home. Lots o changes in my life will take place this year. OH YA, my parents are going to Virginia and West Virgina on their mission. They leave June 30th. As Craig Boulerjack would say.."Buckle up", that is about how it feels. I will keep ya posted and try to keep this more up to date. PEACE!!!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!!

Hey, Another year has come and gone. I just turned 29 today. Last year i was in St. George with Adam and Misty Rindlisbacher playing golf. We had dinner at a nice restaurant with my Father-in-law Doug. The server took a huge chunk out of my suprise birthday cake. This year, i stayed here in Pleasant Grove. Angie bought me 2 seasons of knight rider, a tie, board game of are you smarter than a 5th grader, a gift card to buy a new driver for my golf game this year. Tonight, we went and celebrated my birthday at my parents in Orem. We had crepes and cup cakes. It rained today with a little bit of snow. I cooked stakes for dinner for me and angie on my grill. I know this is all random, but hey that is kinda like me!!! I hope to enjoy my last year of being in my 20's before the big 30. Life passes toooo fast, so love every minute of it and be grateful for what you have. Hopefully i will post some more pictures soon. Later!!!!

February is finally here!!!!!

Hey Ya'll,
Finally, January is over. What a long and cold and hard month to kick off 2008. We have tons of snow, probably snow like it used to when I was young. January over means another month closer to May 2, graduation from the University of Utah. January over means it is closer to warmer weather, longer days, GOLF, camping, Golf, being done with school, and GOLF.
January also meant that President Gordon B. Hinckley, president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints passed away. We will dearly miss him. We watched his funeral on television and watched his biography. I was in tears the whole time. He was our friend and we will really miss him. I will miss him during confrence here in April. I do know that he is a prophet of God and he lead this church according to God's will. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the new prophet of God and will continue the lord's work. Maybe i am a bit prideful, but Prezident Hinckley graduated from the University of Utah and studdied communications and I too will do the same. I also had the wonderful chance of playing golf with 1st counselor President Henry B. Eyring. They are men called of god.
I am so happy that February is here and that the weather will start to be a little warmer. Wish me luck on this semester of school. I am way excited to graduate, find a job, and move into a home. STAY TUNED.
PEACE!!!!

January almost in the books

I can not wait for January to be over. I am soooo sick of the snow and cold. 2008 hasn't been the best for me yet. I should be enjoying my last semester of college, yet I have struggled to find that joy. Maybe it has to do a bit with the weather, i don't know. I am just anxious for April to get here, so that the semester will be in the books and the college will be done. I am pooped already. Lots of change in store this year. Stay tuned for all the fun and excitement. I hope 2008 picks up, because so far i have not enjoyed it. I have been sick for a week to top it all off. Here is to a better February. PEACE OUT!!!

Last Semester at School

Well, I begin my last semester at the University of Utah. I am way tired and way excited at the same time. My graduation date is MAY 2, 2008. YA BOYEEEEE. Then, I go out and try and fly on my own. I am a bit scared to not be doing school anymore. School is all I have ever known. This semester will probably be the hardest of all of them. I have been trying to get my schedule down so that I can relax and work hard in my classes. I have run into multiple struggles already and it has only been a week into the semester. Wish me luck that everything will go well and that I will be able to handle everything this semester. I am a lot more excited to graduate college than I was to graduate high school. Angie is going to take me to Disneyland or Disneyworld for my graduation this year, that is cool and motivation to do well this semester. I love going to Diney. I will keep ya posted ya'll during this semester. PEACE!!!

Happy New Year Everyone!!!!!

Happy New Year, Angie and I went to our friends Loriann and Wil's home in Orem to play games and eat and eat and eat. We made lots of noise when the new year came. I couldn't kiss Angie because she has been battling a cold, so it was quite the romantic kiss on the cheek. I am always sad to see December go, because that means that the weather only gets cold because everyone turns off their christmas lights and puts all the decorations away for another year. This should be an interresting year for the two of us. I will be graduating from the U this year and will be looking to get a job. Who knows where that will end us up. I hope everyone else had a good new year and that 2008 will be better than 2007. Catch ya later ya'll.
